Questions, answered.

The questions that come up in conversations. If yours isn't here, get in touch.

01 / THE PRODUCT

What Ardesia is, and where it stands today.

Does Ardesia replace my gestionale?

No. Ardesia handles the active cycle — quotes, orders, customer documents, and the conversations behind them. The fiscal side, the accounting, the electronic invoicing through SDI — those stay with your gestionale. Ardesia is built to sit next to that system, not replace it.

What's a "design partner"?

A small number of companies we work closely with while Ardesia is in its early phase. Design partners get the product at favourable terms in exchange for honest feedback — what works, what doesn't, what's missing. The arrangement is a normal commercial one; the product is in use, not a prototype. We're not taking on many design partners, and the slots fill in conversations rather than through a form.

02 / COMMERCIAL

Pricing and getting in and out.

How is Ardesia priced?

We're finalising the structure, but the shape is straightforward: a one-time onboarding fee, plus a monthly subscription that depends on the plan, the number of company accounts, and the number of administrators using it. No per-quote pricing, no AI minutes, no surprise charges based on how much you use it. Get in touch and we'll walk you through the current rates for your situation.

What if I stop using Ardesia? Can I get my data out?

Yes. Your data is yours — that's part of the foundation, not a contract clause. When you need to export or migrate, get in touch and we'll work through it with you. We're still settling the exact formats and process; if exit terms are a deciding factor for you, raise it early in our conversation and we'll cover it in writing.

03 / DATA & AI

Where the data lives, and what the AI does with it.

Where is my data stored, and who can see it?

Ardesia is hosted on cloud infrastructure inside the European Union. Each customer's data lives in their own logical space — no shared tables, no cross-customer queries. Inside Silica, only the people who need access to support you can see your data, and that access is logged. We're a small team; nothing is anonymous behind a service desk ticket.

Does Argo train on my data?

No. Ardesia uses commercial AI APIs from established providers, on the tiers where customer inputs are not used for model training. Your queries, your customer records, your prices, your messages — none of it goes into anyone's training data. We don't run our own training on customer data either: improvements to Argo come from product work, not from learning over your records.

Do I have to use the AI features?

No — though there's no switch to turn Argo off, there's also nothing to turn off. Argo only runs when you ask it to: when you type a request, when you ask for a summary, when you have it read a PDF. If you don't use those entry points, Argo isn't doing anything in the background. Everything Argo can do, you can do yourself — clicking through the interface, building the quote line by line, opening the chat history. The choice to use Argo or not is a choice you make every time you sit down to work.

04 / PRACTICAL

The basics.

What languages does Ardesia support?

The interface is available in Italian, English, French, and German. Argo handles the same four languages — you can write to it in any of them and it answers in the same one. Documents Ardesia generates (quotes, delivery notes, pro-forma invoices) follow your account's default language but can be produced in another language when the customer is abroad. Customer support is in Italian and English.
